McQueen S/S 10 via Victor Blanco. The oil spill finish on the black ones really emphasizes the alien details. And are the white ones pearlized? Can't quite tell, but it would make sense. Funny seeing shoes that may not even go into production photographed so simply with a cheap (cell phone?) camera and flash.

Not surprised to find these S/S 07 Dior wedges (that I posted about here) on Daul Kim's blog. Girl had major style. Remember that shot of her in Margiela's tabi boots with the oversize mongolian fur? Epic. RIP. *For those of you who find this commentary offensive, please read my added comments below prior to becoming another unabashedly rude, anonymous commenter.
"I'm sure she was a sweet, kind girl, but I'm not going to pretend I knew her personally and make uninformed statements. *That would be offensive. This is a blog about style (a trait that, in my opinion, should also be regarded as valuable/admirable), so style is what I'm going to talk about.
I celebrate taste and style. I would never think it's tasteless to compliment the style of someone recently deceased when it was clearly something they invested thought in. It's not about those shoes or that jacket, it's about the constant level of taste expressed by her choices."

Normally, the idea of ponchos tends to frighten me, but it's definitely a viable option this season seeing as many designers are making lust worthy variations or, in the case of the Complex Geometries piece below, styles with similar silhouettes.
Love this tabard by Complex Geometries. This piece would make winter layering a dream.

Shearling poncho by Bless, also available in a dreamy gray. Sheepskin has such a distinct, matte texture.. it's even hard to compare to suede.

Got my ears pierced today. Not crazy about these little studs. I definitely look like a major homo right now. Earlier this week at my friend's suggestion I tried doing it myself but that didn't quite work out. I mean, I did pierce one ear, but I couldn't get an earring in. I'm going to be gauging my ears to a 0, but, of course, I have to wait a few weeks first.
